Roots of Roots
Group Exhibition, 2025 Jul
Roots are not only symbols of geography or homeland, but also sensory and emotional networks—threads that run through the body, the soil, and memory.
This exhibition presents a blurred state of belonging: we yearn to touch the earth, yet instinctively recoil at its “invasion.”
Our imagination of “home” often carries soft outlines, but it is also intertwined with the pain of severance, migration, and reconstruction.
The works in this exhibition embody a vegetal mode of thinking-root systems, nerve endings, textiles, scars, regeneration, and prayer.
Through various media—installation, video, sound, objects, and plant matter, artists explore an ever-extending symbiosis between body and nature, identity and landscape.
